If you're heading to Morocco (or even if you aren’t) add Berber Lodge Hotel to your list. This stunning hotel is situated in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and offers a luxurious and authentic Moroccan experience. It is about 20 minutes outside of Marrakech which is a nice retreat from the wonderful chaos of the big city.
As soon as you arrive at the Berber Lodge Hotel, you'll be transported to another world. The hotel's stunning architecture and design seamlessly blend traditional Moroccan style with modern luxury, creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere. The hotel's spacious rooms and suites are exquisitely decorated with local fabrics and hand-crafted furniture, creating an ambiance of tranquility and relaxation. I truly could have spent the entire trip at this hotel.
The Berber Lodge also offers a range of activities and experiences that allow guests to fully immerse themselves in Moroccan culture. For example, you can take a cooking class and learn how to prepare traditional Moroccan dishes, or go on a guided tour of nearby villages to experience the local way of life.
One of the highlights of any stay at the Berber Lodge is the hotel's restaurant and bar. The restaurant offers a range of delicious Moroccan and international dishes made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. There are no menus, the chef and kitchen team choose the dish of the day and serve it pre-fix style. We never had the same meal twice there and each one was more delicious than the rest. You can dine inside the cozy dining room or outside on the terrace, overlooking the stunning Atlas Mountains.
In addition to the hotel's exceptional accommodations and experiences, the staff at the Berber Lodge are truly exceptional. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to ensure that guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay. They helped us book a train to Tangier and back and coordinated a taxi to get us to the train station.
I don’t usually plan on going back to a place after I’ve been, just for the sake of always exploring somewhere new, but I would go back to the Berber Lodge in a heartbeat.
